SALMO • PLAT LIO

◀  BACK TO VADEMECUM

Vaccine against avian typhoid.

Elaborated with lyophilized Salmonella Gallinarum (R9) rough strain.
Its use is recommended only for hens that produce table eggs since vaccinated birds may produce Salmonella agglutinins, which will impede disease diagnosis by agglutination test.

For a better result, apply 2 doses during batch breeding, before laying starts and periodically revaccinate bird with an interval of 60 to 90 days.

Do not provide antibiotics or antibacterial drugs a week before or two weeks after vaccination. For the application, use sterilized needles and syringes when beginning vaccination. Change needles often, checking that they are sharp enough.

Do not wash needles or syringes with disinfectant, using for its sterilization and washing only sterilized water.
